About this property

Welcome to Flamingo Lodge and Restaurant

Flamingo Lodge and Restaurant is a modest hotel located within Everglades National Park, offering straightforward accommodations geared towards visitors seeking proximity to nature and outdoor activities. Rooms are air-conditioned and include kitchen facilities, contributing to a comfortable stay amid the remote environment. Although there is no fitness center or swimming pool, complimentary Wi-Fi and parking add convenience for guests.

The property features the Flamingo Restaurant, which receives mixed feedback. It is the sole dining option in the area, providing a limited menu with a casual atmosphere. While some guests appreciate the friendly service and decent food quality, others note that options are basic and suggest bringing prepared meals for more variety. This aligns with the lodge’s overall practical and no-frills approach.

Set in a unique location at the southern tip of Florida, the lodge is praised for its clean, well-maintained rooms and scenic views. Visitors enjoy easy access to popular attractions such as Everglades National Park, the Guy Bradley Visitor Center, and nearby hiking trails like Christian Point Trail. The surrounding wilderness offers opportunities for boating, kayaking, fishing, and wildlife watching, making it suitable for guests interested in outdoor recreation and natural exploration.

Guest reviews highlight the lodge’s appeal to those looking for an unplugged, nature-oriented experience, though some caution about the limited local amenities. The peaceful setting and outdoor activities tend to attract visitors comfortable with basic accommodations and a rustic atmosphere. Flamingo Lodge and Restaurant serves as a practical base for exploring the Everglades rather than a luxury retreat.

What a terrific place! Room was exceptionally clean, and fresh new decor with wonderful amenities. Loved the mid-century look of the steel containers. Trails, Marina, kayaking, canoeing, boat rides, all within walking distance. Sunset views can’t be beat.

I stayed in one of the glamping tents and it was absolutely wonderful! Greyson checked me in and he was very helpful with my many questions. The restaurant was perfect with a nice menu and reasonable prices. Emmaline at the Marina store went out of her way to help me with what I needed. Very thing about my visit was terrific! I can't wait to visit again in the future.

The Flamingo restaurant and nearby marina store are the only places to buy food or groceries and the selection in both is very limited. If you don't want average grilled/fried/microwave meals then bring your own prepared food. The accommodation itself is good, well maintained and near to a few tours, trails and a visitor centre.

This place was quite the experience! It's located at the southern tip of Florida in the Everglades National Park. Over 40 miles from 'civilization'. This place is great for an outdoors experience with a hotel room. Sadly we came in slow season, during government shutdown, so some of the nearby activities/restaurant offerings were not available. Still plenty to do between all the trails, boat tours, fishing, kayaking, etc. Our room was wonderful. A/C worked great with a nice deep tub for bathing. Lots of mosquitos outside, so needed it for washing off that Deet! This place is pretty unplugged. No in room TV. Wi-Fi enough for your phone to check your emails, FaceTime, etc. There was a 'glamping' area nearby that had zero light pollution for stargazing. Awe inspiring, let me tell you! We saw manatees at the nearby marina and dolphins in the ocean outside our window. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

The Flamingo Lodge is very attractive and makes good use of shipping containers. The room was nicely appointed. The views from the room are great, and the location perfect! Unfortunately, the restaurant idles not match the quality and service of the lodge. It’s a fast food restaurant with limited menu and little incentive other than it’s the only restaurant in the park.

Peaceful place to rest after a day of exploring in the park. This is a basic lodge with all the in-room amenities we need to get comfortable. The complex is complete with a restaurant where we had lunches and dinners during our stay. Highly recommended!

This is the only eating establishment for about 40 miles. I wouldn’t quite call it a full “restaurant” but it would meet my criteria to be a bit better than a hotel cafeteria. The food was good. Service was friendly. Desserts were the best part. Pulled pork sandwich was done well and the burger was good. Indoor and outdoor seating and a small bar.

We had a wonderful stay at the Flamingo Lodge! Rooms were well equipped and clean, and the views are lovely. Great for birdwatching. Food at the restaurant was very good and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend as a place to escape and enjoy the amazing nature of the Everglades.
